Use a four-digit postcode and store the city separately. Wien is the German name for Vienna; a display name should not be the only identifier for a place.

Should the city be Wien or Vienna?
Keep Wien when displaying the German name and Vienna where an English label is appropriate. Treat these as display aliases rather than creating a second customer address just because the strings differ. Reopening an edit form should preserve the spelling originally entered by the user.
Why keep the house number as text?
Some forms split the street and house number; others accept a single Street Address line. Test both paths and compare the joined result, including spacing. An integer field can lose information when a number includes an additional letter or separator. Keep the original text even if a separate normalized value is used for search.
How do I test German characters?
Add a manual Straße fixture and check typing, copying, search and export. Use Strasse as a separate search-alias case. Normalizing an index should not silently replace the display address. Current generator fixtures include transliterated street names, so repeatedly generating records does not exercise every German character.

What the generator currently covers
The generator currently offers Vienna only. Some configured street names use transliteration; add separate fixtures containing ä, ö, ü and ß when testing Unicode input.
